Leicester City's decision to sack former manager Claudio Ranieri on Thursday, February, 23, 2017 has generated lots of reactions from cross section of the sporting fraternity.
Last season, the Foxes took the Premier League title by 10 points but have won just five top-flight games this season, and could become the first defending champions to be relegated since 1938.

Leicester City have lost their past five League matches and are the only side in the top four English divisions without a League goal in 2017.

Former City's striker Gary Lineker has now joined the bandwagon of people who have condemned the club's Thai owners for them to have sacked the 65-year-old Italian football manager.
"It is very sad, it is inexplicable to me. It's inexplicable to a lot football fans who love the game because the manager has done so much for the club.

"I shed a tear last night for Claudio, for football and for my club because it was so painful.
"It's a sign of modern football, what happened last season was truly extraordinary. The lack of gratitude from the owners of the club and who knows who else involved in such a decision beggars belief.
