She was a very bright pupil and her position in class never went below the top three. She gained admission into the university of Ilorin in Kwara state where she read electrical engineering and graduated with second class honours. She started a career in information technology and quickly got several professional qualification

  A family has been thrown into mourning, after their son who is UNIBEN graduate but deployed to Bayelsa for his NYSC year was shot dead. The deceased's brother, Prosper Collins, took to Facebook to narrate the incident that led to his brother's death. A 2016 female graduate of the department of Microbiology in the Faculty of biological and physical Sciences, Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri popularly known as Chizzy has passed on. The corps member who recently passed out of NYSC camp and was posted to Jos, the Plateau State before she met her untimely death - died after coming down with pneumonia. She reportedly died immediately she was moved down to Imo state yesterday, June 20th 2017. May her soul rest in peace.

A man who lives in Los Angeles in California with his wife, who also happens to be his sister, has taken to Twitter to explain why he tied the knot with her. The Head of the Intelligence Response Team, Assistant Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari, has disclosed that he had to take a ride on a commercial motorcycle, popularly known as okada, to enable him move faster to the Magodo GRA Phase II residence of notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onuamadike, aka Evans, to effect his arrest. Kyari told our correspondent on the phone that to avoid any delay due to the usual chaotic traffic situation on Lagos roads, he had to quickly jump on a commercial motorcycle from his Ikeja GRA location to Magodo GRA Phase II to arrest Evans, who he had earlier been informed by his men already deployed in the area, was making frantic preparations to leave his mansion very soon. The Nigeria police have arrested notorious robbers terrorizing Nigerians along the Badagry/Seme border of Lagos Lagos. The robbers, led by a 22-year-old boy met their waterloo few months after attacking one Mr. Garba Usman and Akubo Ibrahim, who are both officers of the Nigerian customs service where they dispossessed them of their 2006 Toyota Corolla and Lexus 350 SUV and other valuables. Following IGP Ibrahim K Idris’ directives, massive manhunt was launched by Intelligence Response Team led by ACP Abba Kyari. Kyari in a statement sent to DAILY POST said the gunmen upon arrest confessed attacking and robbing the customs officers sometime in February. He gave the names of the suspects as, Tunji Adesanya, a native of Odojomo in Ondo State, who was just released from Agodi prison Ibadan, Oyo state, Rasaq Lawal, 22 the gang leader, a native of Lalate in Oyo state who was also just released from Agodi prison Ibadan shortly before the robbery. In another act of jungle justice,  suspected armed robbers were lynched and burnt to death by a mob at Edim Etop area of in Calabar, Cross Rivers state earlier today. According to reports, one of the robber was trying to steal a phone from a lady at gunpoint when he was apprehended and burnt to death. See more photos after the cut.

Some indigenes in Cross River state are currently expressing their concerns over this trending photo of their state governor, Ben Ayade and his deputy, Professor Evara Esu. The latter is pictured holding an umbrella to cover the governor. While some say the photo shows the humility of Prof Esu, others describe it as a dehumanizing act. Dozens are feared dead today after an inferno believed to have started when a fridge exploded ripped through a 27-storey west London tower block in just 15 minutes. Residents were seen throwing themselves and their children out of windows to avoid being burned to death - others made ropes by tying sheets together as fire engulfed Grenfell Tower in White City at 1am today. But a baby tossed from the 'ninth or 10th floor' of the building housing 600 people was caught by a member of the public and survived with only broken bones and bruises, a witness has said. The 2017 budget has been finally passed by the Senate, report just reaching Business Post from Abuja indicates. The Senate, coming out of a closed-door session, announced the passage of the budget after over four months. The 2017 appropriation bill was submitted to a joint session of the National Assembly in 2016 by President Muhammadu Buhari. With the passage of the budget on Thursday, May 11, 2017 (today), the executive would be required to go through it before assenting to it. Details later.

The Federal University of Technology Minna, has been thrown into mourning following the death of a female postgraduate student, Bolatito Ajuola, by a man suspected to be her fiancé. It was learnt that Ajuola, a student of Science Education, was allegedly stabbed to death at about 11pm on Monday at her off-campus residence. Eyewitnesses said the man, Best Origboshe, was a staff in a company owned by the victim’s father in Ondo State, when the duo began a romantic affair. Best was said to have lost his job, resulting in Ajuola asking him to join her in Minna. It was said that on Monday, Best and Ajuola had returned from shopping when the victim prepared dinner and set the table for them to eat. Northern City News gathered that Origboshe was reluctant to eat the meal, claiming that it was too hot when Ajuola queried him for shunning her food. By Hamisu Kabir Matazu, Damaturu A police sergeant, identified as Kennedy has shot his girlfriend and killed himself, Tuesday, in Potiskum town, Potiskum local government area of Yobe State. Daily Trust gathered that the incident happened around 11:45am inside the sergeants apartment located at old secretariat building, adjacent Potiskum police station. The Police Commissioner, Yobe State command, Abdumaliki Sunmonu, confirmed that the incident happened in the Sergeant's house. He said the Sergeant was in the room with his girlfriend when the gunshots were heard. "Later on, it was discovered that the sergeant shot his girlfriend, and shot himself. They were taken to hospital, the Sergeant was confirmed dead, while the girlfriend was in critical condition," he said.
