Why Former Governor Sule Lamido Was Arrested

Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force on Sunday arrested a former governor of Jigawa state, Alh. Sule Lamido. He was picked up by officers from the Kano state police command for inciting his supporters to stop the conduct of local government elections organized by the current governor of Jigawa state, Muhammad Badaru. The elections are scheduled to hold on July 1. Lamido was arrested at his Sharada Kano home on Sunday morning and taken to the Zone One Command of the Nigeria Police in Kano. Sources say some of his supporters are angry. About 6 Hilux trucks fully packed with Lamido's supporters were spotted outside the Police station awaiting his release earlier on Sunday.

Wike Cries Out Again: IG plans to invade my house in Abuja

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has levelled another allegation at Police Inspector General Ibrahim Idris. The governor claimed the IGP plans to raid his Abuja home and use the opportunity to plant incriminating objects there for the purpose of humbling him. As usual, Governor Wike provided no proof for his latest allegations. This is coming less than a month after the governor alleged that the police wanted to kill him. Two security guards working at a house in Ikeja GRA, have been arrested after breaking into their boss’ house through a burglar-proof to steal hard currency and electronics. The suspects, Abu Abubakar and Hadi Isiaka, indigenes of the same community in Kogi State, were employed through an agent, to work as day and night guards at the home of the GRA-based businessman, who frequently travels out of the country. After training as hard as he could in 2003, Udobong found his way to Abuja, to participate in an Under-17 trial. His hopes were high, energy feverish, but he was dealt a soul-crushing blow. Udobong was not picked. And so ended his hope of ever becoming a football star. Two days ago, LIB reported the brutal murder of one Mr. Solomon Ejor. The iron bender/welder from Urhuoka - Abraka was hacked to death by Fulani herdsmen on Monday, April 24. The Nigeria Union in South Africa said, Mr Chinedu Eze, was killed by a Somalian at Belleville, Cape Town. The cellular and electronics vendor was shot dead on April 25th, 2017. He is survived by a young daughter, Ijeoma. The Chairman of the union in Cape Town, Mr Mike Ibitoye, who confirmed the incident said that the 35-year-old was shot during an argument over cell phone. He said : "Reports at our disposal said that on the fateful day, there was an argument between him and Somali man inside a car.The Somalian reportedly shot him three times, and when he ran out of the car, he shot him six times again, leading to his death,” Ibitoye said that the incident happened at Bellview area of Cape Town, a place dominated Somalians.   He said: "The incident has been reported to the South African Police. Troops of the Nigerian army recorded a big success on Thursday after neutralizing 15 Boko Haram elements in Northern Nigeria. The soldiers recovered huge weapons and artillery from the terrorists. Politics Nigeria has obtained a statement signed by the deputy director, army public relations, 7 division, Kingsley Samuel, which reveals that the raid was carried out in Sambisa forest, Borno state. Outrage as Oba of Lagos disrespects Ooni of Ife

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Aremu Akiolu, recently, humiliated the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi at a public function. In the 25 seconds video which has gone viral, the Ooni of Ife is seen arriving the venue of the event which had the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu II, sitting beside an unidentified oba. The Ooni walked over to greet the obas, but as soon as he offered the Oba of Lagos his hands, Oba Akiolu looked away and dismissed him with a wave of the hand. See clip...
