Broner wins on a split decision



Fighting at welterweight former four division, world champion Adrien Broner won on a ten-round split decision against Adrian Granados at the Cintas Centre in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Saturday night.
The scores were 97-93 and 96-94 for Broner and 96-94 for Granados.
In a closely-fought contest, with both fighters trading punches throughout, Broner just managed to edge it.
Broner is ranked at No 4 junior welterweight by the WBC, and Granados, 27, is listed at No 7.
The 27-year-old Broner, who has held the WBO junior lightweight, WBC lightweight, WBA welterweight and junior-welterweight belts, improved his record to 33-2; 24, and Granados saw his record drop to 18-5-2; 12.
