Champions League: Falcao shines as Monaco lose to Man City
The Champions
League did not disappoint as Man City and Monaco played a 5 - 3 game
while Atletico Madrid vs Bayer Leverkusen saw a 4 - 2 scoreline.
The scoring in the Man City vs Monaco game came from Raheem Sterling who poked home Leroy Sane's cross.
Radamel
Falcao would however equalize with a diving header from Fabinho's
cross. Kylian Mbappe would but the French side ahead with a tidy finish
after beating the offside trap.
The Colombian missed a penalty in the second half and City capitalised through Aguero whose shot was fumbled by Subasic.
Falcao
would respond with a wonderful solo goal as he dribbled John Stones and
left him flat footed then lobbed Willy Caballero.
City would equalize through before John Stones and Leroy Sane scored late goals to hand the win to City.
In
the Atletico vs Leverkusen game played in Germany, the Spanish team
took the lead through Saul Niguez who scored a curling effort from the
right.
Griezman made it two later on with a shot which got over the line from the underside of the bar.
Leverkusen
pulled one back through Karim Bellarabi just after half time. Kevin
Gamiero increased the lead once again via a penalty but an own goal from
Savic set up a tense final 15 minutes.
Substitute
Fernando Torres however increased the lead once again in the 87th
minute and but a tie out of reach for the German side.
