Man died peacefully after falsely told 'Donald Trump was impeached'

An Oregon man passed away after his ex-wife falsely told him President Trump was impeached.

Michael Garland Elliot died on April 6 at the age of 75. His obituary, published in The Oregonian, detailed his final moments. He did not have family left but is survived by ex-wife and best friend, Teresa Elliott. "Though their marriage ran aground, their friendship only grew stronger and hers was the last voice Mike heard," Elliot's obituary read.

Teresa Elliot lied to him over the phone, saying, "Donald Trump has been impeached." After that moment, he died.
Teresa spoke to the New York Daily News about her ex-husband. He had suffered from congestive heart failure and his health declined over the years. While the pair has been divorced for 20 years, they remained close.
