Uni Jos Management Dissolved SUG Officials


The management of University of Jos headed by the Vice Chanceller Prof. Sabastine Mamiako, yesterday announced the dissolution of the Student Union Government officials of the 2016/2017 academic session, due to non-compliers of the officials to adhere to the federal government circular for undergraduate students in federal universities to pay not more than the sum of forty-five thousand (#45,000) as registration charges.

The recent increased in the school fee from #25,000 to #45,000 has led majority of the students in support of a bold step taken by the S U G officials to see that the students are not exploited in Federal Universities.

EFCC recovers more vehicles, others from ex-Customs boss Abdullahi Dikko Inde Barely six days after 17 “exotic” vehicles were recovered from a Kaduna warehouse belonging to former Comptroller-General of Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Abdullahi Dikko Inde, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), another set of items including vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles, have been seized.   The items, which were recovered on Monday and Tuesday from another warehouse said to be the property of the former Customs boss include a 2013 model 32-seater Nissan bus, 42 cargo tricycles, one tipper truck, 16 motorcycles, over 500 rug carpets and two fire-proof safes.   Zonal Head, EFCC in Kaduna, Bappa Ibrahim said yesterday that the recovery was made following tip-off .
