Bob Marley day- The Must Memorable Day For Reggae Lovers

Robert Nesta Marley, popularly known as Bob Marley was a Jamaican singer, song writer, musician and a guitarist who achieved international fame, blending mostly Reggae, Ska and Rock-Steady in his compositions. Bob Marley was born on six February 1945 in Nine Mile, Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica to Norval Sinclair and Cedella Bocker. Bob Marley started his music career in 1962 and recorded four songs.


In 1963, Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, Junior Braithwaite and Cherry Smith were called teensgers and later changed the name to the Wailing Rude Boys. Bob Marley in 1976 left Jamaica and relocated to England. While in England, Marley recorded the album "Exudus'' and "Kaya".


His music which usually centered on love, unity and justice are meant to raise the consciousness of mankind towards  a world where people are treated based on one humanity and not race, cred or geographical location.

Bob Marley was found to have a type of malignant melanoma under the nail of the toe. Marley turned down his doctors' advice to have toe amputated which could have hindered his performing career.


After Marley's health Deteriorated as the melanoma cancer spread to his lungs and brain, he died on the eleven May 1981 at the age of 31. Marley received a state funeral in Jamaica on 21st May, 1981.


The only way we can immortalize this unifying legend is to put aside all differences and treat people not on the basis of who they are but on the fact that they are human beings like us
